Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers

National Zoo

Today is Zylan's actual birthday. Daddy and I took leave to spent time with our little darling. We decided to take Zylan to the zoo because after seeing horses up close at Bkt Tinggi, he seems to be able to relate better. Whenever we point out horses on books he will try and do an imitation of horses snorting and smiles at us.

So we packed up and headed to the zoo, trying to dress Zylan as lightly as possible.

First stop right after the entrance was giraffe! (mummy's favourite).

Next stop was elephants. There were only two elephants around and this one was very friendly....either that or hungry!

We walked on and saw some a couple of emus. Started to get a little hot, but most of the area are shaded and the weather was pretty good that day.

We walked on and saw lions. Zylan practicing the lion growl...

Went to Savannah walk which was like a desert.

There were more giraffes there roaming freely on one side..
.

And some muddy rhinos....

We took a short break here cos mummy was extremely dehydrated and tired.....

After the short break, we headed on and saw a pond full of flamingos!

It was coming to 2pm and Zylan hasn't had his lunch. So we quickly moved on....

I was in search of the bears in hopes that their living conditions has improved since the last I visited the zoo when i was 5yo.

Sadly, nothing's changed.....and Zylan's not even interested.

We headed to nearby cafe for a drink so that Zylan could also have his lunch. He wasn't in the mood for porridge.....So we left and then headed to the aquariums. We saw two cute little penguins on the way there..

Zylan wolf called a lady at the aquariums :-p She was with her bf who gave Daddy the dirty look :-D

We left the aquariums shortly after and headed for the animal show....very less lively which was much expected on a weekday.

After the show we headed home with Zylan fast asleep in the car.

We think we should come back again when Zylan is older, as a refresher to what he saw today, and we'll see how many of the animals he remembers then.
