Porridge

Today is Zylan's first introduction to porridge. This is a really big step for Zylan as he is moving towards eating real solid food. So it was going to be pumpkin porridge today. I was rather excited, having revised the recipe in mind many times and again. I even went to buy a fresh new piece of organic Australian pumpkin which smelled extremely good and looked absolutely delicious! :-D


First taste wasn't too convincing. He made alot of fuss showing dislike of this new taste.





So I tried giving more pumpkin, which was his favourite but still the taste didn't managed to convince him.

After trying very hard to tempt him, he reluctantly took another spoonful.


On the third spoonful the drama started.

This is to convince me that he really doesn't like the taste. Hai..... :-(









Then his hands started coming at me, trying to push the food away 0r grab the spoon.









End up being playfood.

Basically outcome is sadly disappointing :-(





I think he just hasn't gotten used to this new bland taste. Will have to be more persistent and hopefully the next few attempts will be more successful.


Meanwhile, more pumpkin porridge for me! :-)
